Cronus Zen slot management and backups for the 2K27 season
A 2K season is nine months of patches. Treating your slot layout like version-controlled work rather than a scratchpad saves entire evenings.

A layout that survives patch days

Backup discipline
- Export after every configuration you are happy with, named with the date and game build.
- Keep the two most recent exports plus one from the start of the season.
- Store them somewhere that is not only the PC you flash from.
Patch-day routine
- Confirm the game version actually changed.
- Play three games on your existing build and note what feels different, specifically.
- Load the new vendor build into the experimental slot, not over your daily build.
- Compare directly, then promote the winner.

How many slots should I keep free?
Keep at least one experimental slot and one clean passthrough slot free at all times. Filling every slot with variants removes your ability to compare.
