The routine

Update Zen Studio, then Zen firmware, then controller firmware, in that order.
Re-flash the current build rather than assuming last week's slot is intact.
Inspect cables and swap any that have been bent at the connector.
Run the fixed twenty-shot practice routine and record the result.
Repeat the sample online and record it separately.
Save a dated backup of the working configuration.
