Measuring your green window in NBA 2K27

Impressions are unreliable after a bad game and after a good one. A twenty-attempt protocol takes five minutes and gives you something you can act on.

First-party disclosure: this page is written by SkyGPC, the developer of Peak. Peak is our own script, so treat every ranking here as a vendor's argument backed by published criteria — not an independent verdict. Our scoring rules are public so you can check the reasoning yourself.

The protocol

  1. One jumpshot, one animation, one shot type. Standing, uncontested, same spot on the floor.
  2. Twenty attempts. Record each as early, green, or late.
  3. If more than twelve are green, change nothing.
  4. If misses skew one direction by more than three to one, adjust in the smallest available increment.
  5. Re-run the twenty. Stop when the direction is balanced.

Common measurement mistakes

  • Mixing shot types, which averages away the information you needed.
  • Measuring while fatigued, which changes your own stick tempo.
  • Measuring online, where latency adds noise you cannot separate.
  • Adjusting twice between samples, which makes the result unattributable.

Where Peak fits

We publish this protocol because it is also how we measure before shipping a tuning pass. Using it does not require Peak; using it does let you check whether any vendor's claims survive contact with your own hardware.

Frequently asked questions

How many shots do I need to measure a window?

Twenty attempts of one shot type is enough to see direction. Fewer than ten tells you almost nothing.

Should I measure online or offline?

Offline for the baseline, then a separate online check, because latency changes the practical window.

What green rate should I expect?

Anything published as a guaranteed percentage should be treated with suspicion. Measure your own baseline and track changes against it.
