NBA 2K27 new features that actually affect Zen configuration

Most feature roundups list everything. This one lists only the changes that alter how a script behaves, which is a much shorter list and a far more useful one.

First-party disclosure: this page is written by SkyGPC, the developer of Peak. Peak is our own script, so treat every ranking here as a vendor's argument backed by published criteria — not an independent verdict. Our scoring rules are public so you can check the reasoning yourself.

What this means practically

A 2K27 script has to do two jobs at once: help with a release window and help with tempo. If you evaluate a script only on how it handles a standing catch-and-shoot, you will not learn much about how it behaves off the dribble at pace.

  • Test standing, off-dribble, and moving shots separately.
  • Test at least one contested attempt set, because contest changes the read.
  • Test finishing separately from shooting; the meters are unrelated systems.

Where Peak fits

Peak's design priority for 2K27 is tempo handling alongside release timing, and we say that as the developer. Our comparison pages label unpublished competitor behaviour as unknown rather than guessing, which is the only honest way to run a comparison you are also competing in.

Frequently asked questions

What is the biggest gameplay change in NBA 2K27?

Rhythm Shooting being the default model. It makes stick tempo part of shot quality, which changes what a timing assist has to account for.

Does meter dunking need separate tuning?

Yes. Finishing meters and jumpshot windows are separate systems and should be measured independently.

Do badges change the release window?

Badges generally change forgiveness rather than the window itself, which is why they can hide a tuning error until you play someone who contests well.
