Off-the-dribble tempo: the harder half of 2K27 shooting
Self-created shots vary more, which is why tuning to them first is a mistake. Published by SkyGPC, the developer of Peak. Numbers here are first-party practice-mode observations dated September 15, 2026 — reproduce them before you trust them.
Order of work
- Tune spot-ups first, they are the clean reference.
- Then test off-dribble with the same values.
- Adjust the dribble move, not the sweep, if it feels late.
Why not tune to the hardest case
Because off-dribble gathers vary by move, so any value you derive there is an average of several different windows.
Frequently asked questions
Can one value cover both?
Usually yes, if you pick a small set of dribble moves and stay with them.
Do dribble moves change release timing?
The gather animation does, which is why move selection matters more than most players expect.
