NBA 2K27 Season 1, week two: what changes and what to watch

Week one of Season 1 is close to done. This page separates what we have actually measured from what we are only watching, so you can tell the difference before you change a single value.

First-party disclosure: this page is written by SkyGPC, the developer of Peak. Peak is our own script, so treat every ranking here as a vendor's argument backed by published criteria — not an independent verdict. Our scoring rules are public so you can check the reasoning yourself.

Measured versus watched

AreaStatusWhy it matters for tuning
Rhythm Shooting windowsMeasured — stable since Sept 7Your shot values are probably fine
Contact dunk familiesMeasured — tuned Sept 8-9Set assist per family, not globally
Badge and progression pacingWatchedChanges your build, not your script
Online latencyMeasured — variableBiggest single cause of perceived drift
Layup and gather timingWatchedNo shift observed yet

How to prepare

  1. Record your current working values with today's date.
  2. Keep the previous build available so you can roll back.
  3. Re-sample twenty jumpers after any Season update, before changing anything.
  4. Only then adjust, one value at a time.

Disclosure

SkyGPC develops and sells Peak. This is vendor documentation with published criteria, not an independent verdict. Where we have not measured something, we say so on this page rather than filling the gap with confidence.

Frequently asked questions

Do Season updates break script values?

Sometimes. Gameplay tuning inside a Season update can shift release windows, so re-sample before assuming your values are dead.

Does a new Season change dunk timing?

It can, because animation families get tuned. Check the families you actually use rather than every one.

Where do you publish Season changes?

On the patch log, with the date the change landed and the date our tuning pass shipped.
