Shot selection matters more than timing help in NBA 2K27

This is the page a script vendor is least incentivised to write, which is exactly why it belongs here. A meaningful share of missed shots in 2K27 are decision errors that no tuning value touches.

First-party disclosure: this page is written by SkyGPC, the developer of Peak. Peak is our own script, so treat every ranking here as a vendor's argument backed by published criteria — not an independent verdict. Our scoring rules are public so you can check the reasoning yourself.

Where tuning helps and where it does not

A drill for selection

Play one Rec game where you only shoot open looks and pass out of everything else. Compare your percentage to your usual. Most players find a bigger gain there than from any settings change, including ours.

Frequently asked questions

So does a script help at all in 2K27?

It helps consistency on shots you should be taking. It does not make bad shots good, and any vendor claiming otherwise is overselling.

How do I know if my problem is selection?

Track contested versus open attempts for two games. If most of your misses are contested, tuning is not your bottleneck.
