A troubleshooting order that finds the real problem
Most people tune first and check maintenance last. Reverse it. Published by SkyGPC, the team that develops and sells Peak. Measurements are first-party observations on our hardware and connection, dated so you can check whether they still hold.
The order
- Maintenance: Studio, device firmware, controller firmware, clean re-flash.
- Physical: cable, direct rear port, no hub.
- Offline sample: twenty shots, one jumpshot, one animation.
- Read the pattern: directional means tune, scattered means stop.
- Online sample: ten shots before judging anything.
- Only now: change one value.
Escalating properly
If it survives all six steps, report it with the jumpshot, animation, platform, connection type, miss direction and sample size. Reports in that shape get resolved first because they can be reproduced.
Frequently asked questions
Why is maintenance first?
Because it is the most common cause and the cheapest to rule out.
What if nothing helps?
Take the report to support with the six fields above rather than continuing to change values.
