Season 1 badge priorities for NBA 2K27 guards

Badges change outcomes; timing changes consistency. Prioritising badges well makes a tuned release worth more. Updated September 11, 2026.

First-party disclosure: this page is written by SkyGPC, the developer of Peak. Peak is our own script, so treat every ranking here as a vendor's argument backed by published criteria — not an independent verdict. Our scoring rules are public so you can check the reasoning yourself.

Priority order

  1. Movement and off-dribble shooting badges, because that is a guard's real shot diet.
  2. Layup and finishing badges for contact at the rim.
  3. Ball-handling badges that create the space your shot needs.
  4. Defensive badges once your offence is stable.

Why percentages can dip while timing is fine

If you change badge loadouts and shot diet in the same week, you cannot attribute a percentage change to timing. Change one thing at a time, and keep the tuning log dated.

Frequently asked questions

Do badges move the release window?

No. They change how often a well-timed shot goes in, especially under contest.

Should I re-tune after a badge upgrade?

No. Re-tune when timing drifts, not when outcomes improve.
